For the Summer of 2011 It's going to be BIGGER and BETTER than any camp the SOLC has had before we just need one more thing CAMPERS!!!

We have a professional staff that will be working with your children each session.  All counselors are college students with interests in teaching or physical education.  Our activity leaders are certified teachers with the state of Texas and have multiple years of experience both in a classroom and in an outdoor setting.

Stepping stones camp is for young explorers who enjoy the great outdoors Ages 5 - completed 3rd grade. It will be from 8-12 Monday through Friday. For those campers that want to enjoy more than one session, we will be having different activities each week.  There will always be a new fun and exciting adventure for each camper!

Adventure Camp is for 4th-6th graders who are looking to do some more physically challenging activities such as Ropes, Rock climbing, Archery and Canoeing. This camp will run from 8-3 M-F. Just like in our Stepping Stones camp, campers will have the ability to enjoy a variety of activities during the sessions to allow for those campers that want to have an endless summer!

Angler Education Camp is for kids age 12 and up.  Campers will receive an Angler Education Certificate upon completion of camp.  The camp will run from 8-3 M-F.  Campers will fish every day of camp with an emphasis on learning skills that will help them on their own fishing trips.  We will discuss fishing equipment, habitat needs, how to find fish, fish identification and rules and regulations.  Campers will also have the chance to learn to fly fish during this camp.  At the end of camp, we will take the campers on the Guadalupe River to try their new skills out in a natural environment.

Hunter's Camp is for kids 12 and up.  Campers will receive Texas Hunter's Education Certificate upon successful completion of camp.  Camp runs from 8-3 M-F.  Campers will also receive Angler Education during the week to further enhance their knowledge.  The instructors for this course are certified to teach through Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) as well as having the benefit of a TPWD Biologist discussing habitat needs and proper management.
